"I never knew a Buckskin that wasn't a good horse."

I echo the remark the old timer made to me so many years ago. I still have yet to see a Buckskin horse that is not a good horse. They seem to be sturdier, hardier, healthier, more athletic than other colors. But then, after all, they are more than just a color . . .The history of the dun horse traces to the beginning of time. Possibly the original color of all horses is dun. Przewalskis Horse, the most ancient traceable breed, comes in only one color, Dun. Any breed of horse can exhibit dun or buckskin coloration.
